My Top Five Rarest Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go (so far)

Hey everyone. Some posts I am working on will take longer before they are ready. So instead, I want to talk about some interesting shiny Pokémon that I have in Pokémon Go and why I find them to be particularly interesting and valuable. So let’s get started with number five.

Five. Shiny Ambipom

Now you might not know this, but I only evolve a shiny Pokémon once I get multiple of them. Even if I have the candy or items needed to evolve a Pokémon in Pokémon Go, I will not do so unless I know I can complete the line. So far, I have only done so once and it was because I somehow managed to get two shiny Aipom on back-to-back days. The fact that this was the first set of shiny Pokémon I completed the line for was pretty cool. So it gets to sit at number five for managing to be first.

Four. Shiny Manetric

Now for most Pokémon in this game, to get the evolved form as a shiny, you need to evolve the previous stages since evolved Pokémon do not appear shiny in the wild. Or at least that is true of most Pokémon. Apparently, Shiny Manetric is one of them. I don’t know how this works exactly. I have never had a Shiny Electrike and I never did a Manetric raid or anything like that. It was just sitting in the wild. It seems like it is a rare find, but I can’t be sure how rare so I put it at number four.

Three. Shiny Bombirdier

This shiny Pokémon was a happy accident. So during the time when there was that Master Ball event where you had to do 60 raids to get it, I used my PokéCoins to get some remote raid passes. After all, it wasn’t an easy quota to reach without them. One day, I thought to get one for a low-difficulty raid on my way to work. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize you couldn’t do shadow raids remotely. Just when I thought it was a waste, I noticed someone waiting in the lobby of a medium-difficulty Bombirdier raid. Somehow I barely managed to beat it and to my surprise, I was able to find my first ever raid shiny Pokémon. It remains the only Bombirdier I have in the game.

Two. Shiny Tirtouga

Now this one is a bit similar to the previous story. Like Bombirdier, I also managed to get the shiny first. In fact, it wasn’t until recently I found the original. However, what makes this one a memorable story is that I had it for years without knowing. I have been very on and off with this game until fairly recently. I would only pick it up every once in a blue moon. It was to the point that I didn’t remember any of the Pokémon I had in the game. Turns out that I was in the middle of hatching an egg the last time I played the game. Never would I have expected a shiny to be waiting in there for over a year.

One. Shiny Slowpoke

Alright, you might be wondering what could possibly make a Slowpoke the highlight here. After all, as I have mentioned before, it does not have a great shiny color. I am personally impressed that I noticed it when it popped up. However, what makes this shiny Pokémon special is that it is also a 4* Pokémon. Now for those who don’t know, that means that its stats are as high as possible. That’s right, this Slowpoke is my one and only shiny Pokémon with perfect stats. Unfortunately, for the moment it isn’t getting evolved until I find another one. However, considering how difficult it is to find a 4* already, this has to be my rarest shiny in this game and the one I care about the most. The real question is when will I find another so I can evolve it?

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my shiny Pokémon. Here’s wishing everyone luck in their future hunts and have a great night!
